MUN Impact: New York City
NHSMUN is excited to partner with MUN Impact this year to provide a full day of supplemental programming for students who are passionate about taking real action to fulfill the SDGs. MUN delegates are knowledgeable, articulate, and passionate global citizens who are well placed to actively support the work of the United Nations--and nothing on the UN's agenda is more important than advancing the Sustainable Development Goals. To show students how they can organize and act from their local communities to make a global impact, we will be co-hosting a special one-day, stand-alone event with MUN Impact on March 3, 2020. Whether you are attending Session I or Session II of NHSMUN, adding this extra day of programming to your itinerary is sure to enhance your experience in New York and give you tangible next steps for what you can do to support the United Nations long after the conference is over.
During this day of programming, students and directors will participate in multiple unique workshops, designed to help bring action and awareness of the SDGs to each club, team, or conference. These workshops will be led both by influential leaders from the UN and NGOs as well as by other students who are already making a dramatic impact on achieving the SDGs. There will also be additional workshops exclusively for group leaders and educators to discuss MUN Impact tools and the role MUN plays in advancing SDG Target 4.7, which focuses on global education competencies.
